World Poetry Day novovrijeme.baThe manifestation ‘Celebration of the World Poetry Day’ was held tonight in Sarajevo, with the focus on promoting the book ‘Antikvarnica stihova’-joint collection of poetry written by young authors from Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The organizer of the event is Association ‘Metamorfoza’, who organized this manifestation in fourth consecutive years.

As it was pointed out from the Association, this is a way of promoting young, talented people.

The president of the Association, Tarik Jazic, said how this event becomes a tradition and that it will help young poets who love poetry and contribute to the preservation of BH art in years to come.

Students from all parts of B&H send their poetry to the literary contest for the second year in a row, and the selected works are then included in the joint collection book of young artists’ poetry.

At this year’s contest, 66 works have been received, and 41 of them have been included in the book.

Talking about the book, BH writer Hadzem Hajdarevic said this is one of the books which show that there is a bright future for BH art, regardless of the so called colonized consciousness which turned out to be fatal for every society.

‘In this book I recognized many talented poets, and I will be happy if the society would identify the actual meaning of the book, language, and word in the future’, said Hajdarević.

Within the manifestation, the ‘Šapat srca’ choir, which operates within the Association ‘Metamorfoza’, and other members of the Association presented themselves with guitar instrumentals, sevdalinka performances, and other song interpretations.
