The municipality of Centar Sarajevo, as part of its continuous care for the most vulnerable categories of the population, implements the “Bread and milk for pensioners” project, within which it provides funds for 393 socially vulnerable elderly citizens as a co-payment for the purchase of basic foodstuffs – bread and milk.

Of the stated number of beneficiaries, among the recipients of funds in the amount of 70 BAM each for August are 345 pensioners with minimum incomes, and 100 BAM each for 48 socially vulnerable persons over 60 years of age who did not exercise their right to a pension.

The funds were set aside as a co-payment for the purchase of basic foodstuffs – bread and milk.

In the municipal budget for 2023, 360,000 BAM have been allocated for this purpose. Of the stated amount, 300,000 convertible marks are provided for socially vulnerable pensioners, while 60,000 BAM is intended for socially vulnerable persons over 60 years of age who have not exercised their right to a pension, announced the Municipality of Centar Sarajevo.
