Sead Ahmetovic, co-founder and director of the company WeAreDevelopers, which, among other things, is engaged in the organization of the largest European Conference for Developers, decided to expand its business operations to BiH and open a regional office for the CEE in Sarajevo.
“I finished my studies in Austria, and since innovative technologies were the center of my interest, I started my career in the IT sector as a programmer. I’ve always been ambitious and interested in all fields of entrepreneurship, and thus I invested a lot of my time and efforts into my work in order to gain more experience,” stated Ahmetovic.
In the year of 2013, he decided to open digital agency “VIENNA DIGITAL” with headquarters in Vienna with his friend and colleague Benjamin Ruschin. They also opened the company WeAreDevelopers in Vienna, and it currently employs 35 workers, and this number is constantly increasing.
When it comes to the idea of organizing the WeAreDevelopers conference, whose main goal is to connect the best global companies from the IT sector with the best developers of the world, he said that they started it because they noticed the lack of that kind of formats in Europe.
“This proved to be a good idea already from the beginning. We had 300 participants in 2015, 600 participants in 2016, and we managed to attract a total of 4,000 programmers in 2017,” said Ahmetovic.
They had great speakers at their previous conferences, and this year they managed to confirm the arrival of the founder of Apple, legendary Steve Wozniak. That is something that their entire team is very proud of.
“When it comes to success, I think that it is very important to be surrounded with quality people, who can achieve great results and create real values for the future with their experience and hard work,” concluded Ahmetovic.
