Minister of Civil Affairs of B&H, Adil Osmanovic, participated at the International conference in Split, which was dedicated to the establishment of the Center for Research and Innovations of the Western Balkans – WISE and the promotion of the possibilities that the Center will be providing.
Since the Declaration on the Regional strategy of researching and the development for innovations of the Western Balkans was signed in Zagreb, until now, the Ministry of Civil Affairs of B&H, together with institutions in charge for the science at all levels of the government in B&H, provided a full support to the establishment of this Regional Center in order to enable strengthening of capacities of the science community of B&H.
“We expect that the work of this Regional Center will contribute to the improvement of the cooperation in the field of researching and innovations and the sustainable economic development and social cohesion and the European integrations in general“, said the minister Osmanovic.
He expressed the confidence that the WISE Center will become recognized and attractive partner n the region of Western Balkans and contribute the strengthening of the regional research, innovation and technological systems.
Among the most important tasks of the newly established Center is the promotion of the cooperation of domestic scientists with the scientists in abroad, with the special emphasis on the scientific diaspora.
WISE Center will promote the mobility of researchers and PhD students in the region of Western Balkans and between the region and other countries, as announced from the Ministry of Civil Affairs of B&H.
WISE will actively work on strengthening the cooperation and coordination between scientific organizations with the aim of better strategic investment in the scientific infrastructure, as well as on deepening the cooperation between the scientific organizations and the industry.
