Central Bank of BiH made Profit of over 25 Million BAM

At the last session, the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina adopted the Annual Report of the Central Bank of BiH (CBBH) for 2022.

During 2022, the CBBH successfully maintained the country’s monetary stability and made the best contribution to financial stability in BH. It fulfilled its legal mandate consistently, implementing a model of monetary policy – the currency board.

As a result of the overall financial operations of the CBBH, in 2022, it made a profit in the amount of BAM 25.9 million, while for the period 1 January – 30 April 2023, the earned profit amounted to BAM 62.2 million.

Total capital and reserves amounted to BAM 545.4 million at the end of 2022. Capital and reserves continued to grow in 2023 and on May 31, 2023 they exceeded the amount of BAM 680 million.
