On 19 December 2019, Governor of the Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina (CBBH), Senad Softić, Ph.D., met with the delegation of UniCredit Bank d. d. Mostar, led by newly appointed CEO Amina Mahmutović, who will replace Dalibor Ćubela, at that position.

On this occasion, Governor Softić thanked Mr. Ćubela for his successful cooperation and successful running of one of system’s important banks in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and he wished good luck to new CEO, who officially takes on a new position as of 1 January 2020.

This meeting was also used as an opportunity to exchange information on the latest developments in the financial sector of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the challenges faced by all participants in the financial intermediation process. On this occasion, Governor Softić stressed that, within its mandate, the CBBH continuously works on improvement of the financial sector, and informed attendees on the activities the CBBH implemented during the last year.

“Improvements in the payment systems of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Registries, managed by the CBBH, as well as, an increase in the volume and coverage of statistics, collected by the CBBH, provide significant assistance to policy makers and the business banking sector in making better business decisions”, the Governor said, adding that the CBBH had put in circulation new series of KM banknotes at the beginning of November, which significantly improved the quality and safety of cash in circulation.
