Chairman of the B&H Presidency Željko Komšić received the Letters of Credence of the new Ambassadors of the Republic of Armenia to B&H, with a seat in Athens, Gagik Ghalatcian.
It was said that B&H wishes to develop good relations with Armenia, and that all the elements are there for successful development of political and economic relations between the two countries. He said that it is necessary to take steps for their improvement with the conclusion of appropriate agreements on the economic, cultural and educational plan. Chairman Komšić stressed the need to improve bilateral cooperation, especially in the area of the economy.
Ambassador Ghalatcian said that it would be of mutual benefit to both countries to work to improve bilateral relations and to develop cooperation in all areas that are of interst to B&H and Armenia.
Chairman of the B&H Presidency Komšić also received the Letters of Credence from the new Ambassador of Canada to B&H, with a seat in Budapest, Lisa Helfand.
Chairman Komšić wished the new Canadian Ambassador a warm welcome and said that bilateral relations between B&H and Canada are good and friendly, that there are no open issues between the two countries, and that there is a huge opportunity to improve the overall relations and cooperation. He welcomed the announcement of the opening of the honorary consulate of Canada to B&H, and expressed hope that the opening of this consulate would contribute to improving the relations between the two countries, especially in the area of the economy.
Ambassador Helfand said that B&H and Canada have good bilateral relations and stressed that one of the priorities in her work would be to strengthen economic cooperation between the two countries, and that she would undertake all activities in order to realize the opening of the honorary consulate of Canada to our country.
