Chairman of BIH Council of Ministers Spoke with Director of EBRD in BiH

zzi 1 (1)Chairman of the BIH Council of Ministers Vjekoslav Bevanda spoke yesterday in Sarajevo with the Director of EBRD in BIH Libor Krkoska on the new strategy of EBRD for BiH.

Bevanda expressed satisfaction with the cooperation of the BIH Council of Ministers with EBRD, especially in infrastructure projects such as the Highway on Corridor 5-C.

He said that, in addition to the continuation of cooperation with the public sector in infrastructure projects, the focus on EBRD in BiH has to be devoted to the development of the private sector that creates a dynamic of development and new jobs, with which Director Krkoska agreed.

Director Krkoska stressed that in the coming period interest would remain and the efforts of EBRD in infrastructure projects in the public sector, while a large part of activities would be devoted to the development of the private sector.

Handing the draft content strategy of the EBRD activities in BIH to Bevanda, Director Krkoska said that in the last 15 years of EBRD in BIH more than 100 projects worth more than 1,5 billion euros have been implemented. He added that in the past two years there has been a tendency of increasing the representation of projects aimed at developing the private sector in the portfolio of EBRD to BiH.

Bevanda spoke to Krkoska that the BIH Council of Minsters recently adopted a legislative solution that speeds up the process of the ratification of international credit agreements, in order to accelerate the existing procedures and to make withdrawal more efficient.

Bevanda thanked Director Krkoska on the contributions of EBRD in reconstruction and continued efforts of the economic development of BIH, announced the BiH Council of Ministers.
