Chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina dr. Denis Bećirović held a new meeting with the ambassadors of the Quinte member states (the United States of America, the Federal Republic of Germany, the Republic of France, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and the Republic of Italy).

The meeting, which was held on the initiative of chairman Bećirović, was also attended by the head of the EU Delegation to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Johan Zatler, and the high representative in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kristijan Šmit. By the way, the meeting in the Presidency of BiH is part of the overall and intensive foreign policy activities of Chairman Bećirović, with the aim of well-argued information and activities of the international community in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The meeting discussed the current political, security and other challenges in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the region, with special reference to, as they said, the anti-Dayton and anti-constitutional activities of the authorities of the Bosnian entity Republika Srpska, which threaten peace and undermine independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity. of the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bećirović’s cabinet announced.

The Chairman of the BiH Presidency, Denis Bećirović, pointed out the importance of jointly agreeing activities with strategic partners from the international community that will ensure the implementation of the Dayton Peace Agreement and the preservation of peace. It was pointed out that this is very important for preserving the security and stability of the entire region.

“The dangerous project of a greater Serbia has been reactivated in Serbia. The goal, as projected by the ideologues of Greater Serbia, is to obtain in peace what was not obtained during the aggression of the 1990s. It is about the same ideology, policy and goals from the 1990s. On June 8, 2024, the idea of ”one nation, one parliament” was promoted in Belgrade, and it is clear to everyone that there is one leader of this large-state project,” said Bećirović.

The idea of the Russian world, as well as the Serbian world, is revanchist and is being used to rewrite history, it was emphasized.

“Many did not understand Milošević’s speech at Gazimestan in 1989, and unfortunately, many do not understand the devastating consequences of the Declaration of the so-called All-Serbian Parliament. There are two particularly dangerous aspects of this declaration: a) the institutionalization of the relationship between the state of the Republic of Serbia and one administrative unit in another state; b) the anti-European and anti-constitutional content of the adopted Declaration was completely revealed. The so-called All-Serbian Parliament referred to the Dayton Peace Agreement in detail,” Bećirović emphasized.

There is no doubt, the Declaration of the so-called of the All-Serbian Assembly of Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. of the RS entity is absolutely contrary to practice in the democratic and civilized world; fundamental norms of international law and the sovereignty of the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina, it was said.

“Also, it threatens the fundamental principles on which the EU rests; the basic principles of interstate relations of UN member states, as well as peaceful and equal cooperation among European states.”

It was also pointed out the importance of the conclusions of the last session of the PIC Board of Directors, in which it was stated that the authorities of Bosnia and Herzegovina entities of the RS flagrantly threaten the General Framework Agreement for Peace, the constitutional and legal order of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and its sovereignty and territorial integrity. All those present at the meeting pointed out that a greater degree of coordination and more effective action of the international community in Bosnia and Herzegovina is needed in the coming period.

“The participants in the discussion unanimously stated that an independent, sovereign, secure and multi-ethnic Bosnia and Herzegovina is a common interest of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the EU, the USA and the United Kingdom”, it was concluded after the meeting.
