Chairman Zvizdic with Peihua: To increase the Volume of Trade with China

Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BiH Denis Zvizdic and his Deputy, Minister of Trade and Economic Relations of BiH Mirko Sarovic, met in Sarajevo with the delegation of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), which was led by Vice President Ma Peihua, who brought greetings from the President of the Government of NR China Li Keqiang to Chairman Zvizdic.

They discussed bilateral relations and cooperation between the two mentioned states. They agreed that the relations between BiH and the People’s Republic of China are good and friendly and they also expressed the readiness to further expand them in the future period.

They also discussed the realization of large economic projects, as well as the continuation of cooperation in the fields of economy, agriculture, education, culture, and tourism. They expressed their belief that larger trade volume needs to be realized in the upcoming period. They also talked about the importance of the One Road – One Belt initiative and emphasized the need to improve cooperation within the format China + 16.

Chairman Zvizdic noted that the procedure for the abolition of visas for citizens of China is in its final stage and that BiH is planning to host a tourism conference in the upcoming period, which will be attended by ministers of tourism of members of China +16.

The meeting was attended by the Ambassador of the NR China to BiH, Chen Bo.
