Chairperson of BiH Presidency: Von der Leyen’s Letter was sent to the wrong Address

The Chairperson of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Željka Cvijanović, stated that “the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina demonstrated numerous disagreements regarding the foreign policy of Bosnia and Herzegovina, but, unfortunately, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs often ignored this, and therefore gave instructions that did not reflect the views of the Presidency”.

When asked by Srna news agency to comment on the letter from the President of the European Commission, Ursula Von der Leyen, addressed to the BiH Presidency, in which she thanked for, as she stated, the harmonization of the foreign policy of Bosnia and Herzegovina with the policy of the EU, Cvijanović said that the letter was sent to the wrong address.

“If someone should be thanked for usurping jurisdiction and not implementing the positions of the Presidency, then it would certainly be the Ministry of Foreign Affairs,” said Cvijanović.
