Milomir Kovacevic Strasni, artist of photographs and this year’s laureate of the Sixth of April Award of Sarajevo, recorded growing up of children of Sarajevo under the siege on his photographs.

The children needed to adjust their children’s desires, needs and interests with the brutal environment: daily deaths, poverty, cold, hunger, shells that were interrupting their sleep.

The photos reveal the incredible vitality and firmness of an entire generation.

Unique photographic manuscript of Milomir Kovacevic Strasni gives special value to this collection.

Art Gallery of BiH and the artist announced the exhibition Children in war, which will be set from the 11th of March.

The official opening ceremony is scheduled for Friday, the 11th of March, at 8 pm.

Take a look at some of the exhibits in our photo gallery.

Visit the exhibition Children in war in the Art Gallery of BiH, every day except Sundays, between 10 a.m. and 8 p.m. The exhibition will be opened until March 29.
