Chinese Judicial Delegation visited the HJPC, emphasizing the Desire for Cooperation

President of the High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council of BiH Sanin Bogunić, Vice President Sanela Gorušanović-Butigan, Vice President Velimir Ninković and permanent member of the HJPC of BiH Sedin Idrizović and Director of the Secretariat of the HJPC of BiH Ivana Zovko Planinić, together with their associates, hosted a delegation of courts in Beijing.

Liu Liming, director of the Political Department of the Beijing Municipal High People’s Court, led the Chinese delegation consisting of Xing Rui, head of the Human Resources Department of the Beijing Municipal High People’s Court, Lin Na, deputy head of the Education and Training Department of the Beijing Municipal High People’s Court, and Zhang Yuwei, director of the Political Department of the Dongcheng District People’s Court of Beijing Municipality.

The President of the HJPC of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Sanin Bogunić, expressed his satisfaction that after long planning, the visit of the delegation of the Chinese judiciary was realized, and he extended a warm welcome to the guests from China, stressing that the HJPC of Bosnia and Herzegovina is open to cooperation with the Chinese judiciary.

He also briefly presented the institution of the HJPC of BiH as a judicial regulator in BiH that operates on the principles of independence, impartiality and professionalism and has been successfully performing its responsibilities for more than 20 years.
Director of the Political Department of the High People’s Court of the Beijing Municipality, Liu Liming, thanked the President of the HJPC of Bosnia and Herzegovina for the welcome and expressed satisfaction with the visit to the judicial institutions in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

She stated that the delegation is particularly interested in the practice of the HJPC of BiH related to the issue of election and appointment of holders of judicial functions and their education during their professional career.

By presenting the organization and activities of the Secretariat of the HJPC of BiH, the director of the Secretariat, Ivana Zovko Planinić, gave an introduction to the thematic part of the visit of representatives of the supreme courts in Beijing, in which the process of appointing judicial office holders, the issue of integrity and responsibility of judicial office holders, regulatory mechanisms of management and supervision over the judiciary, as well as the education of judicial office holders were presented.

At the end of the protocol and thematic part of the visit, director Liming thanked the HJPC of BiH for the quality presentations on the competences and activities of the HJPC of BiH.
