plenum_sarajevoOn behalf of the organizing committee of the Plenum of citizens, Ibrahim Tanović told journalists last night that the Plenum was not possible to carry out because there were many citizens with a number of requests that need to be articulated. The conditions at yesterday’s Plenum were not conducive to carrying it out the right way, so it was rescheduled on Friday, 14 February at 17:30 in the Olympic Hall ‘Zetra’.

The premises chosen last night for the Plenum was not able to take in the numerous citizens, so the attempt to formulate the demands of citizens that was then supposed to be given to the authorities fell through.

‘’The goal was to provide more space so that citizens could give their opinions. I hope that everyone will be able to say what is on their mind. We need a constructive discussion, where everyone will have the right to vote, so we can have the first assembly of the citizens of Sarajevo’’, explained Tanović.

He repeated that the Plenum was cancelled so that they are able to provide the conditions so all participants could equally participate in it.

What could be heard during the gathering last night, which lasted for one hour, was the request for social justice and demands for a more equitable society, better distribution of capital and property, and the biggest reason for protests on the streets were of a social and economic nature.
