Citizens are not Saving, Merchants are satisfied with Sales in BiH

Easter is behind us, and Orthodox Easter is two days ahead of us, and Eid al-Fitr is the next weekend.

These are the days when family and guests gather, but in the era of galloping prices, they have also become days when it is necessary to allocate much more money to mark them in a dignified way.

In the following, we bring you a story about what the citizens say, what the sellers say, and is there a festive atmosphere?

The unbearable crowd at the Banja Luka Market gave us an inkling that the biggest Christian holiday, Easter, was upon us. Some say it is expensive, but since this holiday is once a year, it must be celebrated as it should be.

“My God, Easter is one day a year, everything is cheap,”, “But what, it’s expensive, I have nothing to say”, are just some of the comments of citizens.

Traders satisfied with the sale

Merchants know well that citizens will provide money in any way they know how to mark the holidays, so today they were particularly pleased with the sales. And we could also hear some humorous answers.

“If a lady marries well, everything is cheap for her, if she marries poor, everything is expensive for her”, “The most popular are pork, lamb, barbecue, minced meat for sarma, cured meat products, roasting, rolled chicken, rolled drumsticks, lead pork, everything is going well”,”Here you can see that it is crowded, every day, and today especially. So today you don’t feel a crisis. What a crisis, today there is no crisis”, the traders said in an interview with BHRT.

After Easter, another big religious holiday is coming up next weekend: Eid al-Fitr, so big crowds are expected again, regardless of high food prices.

Holidays will always be celebrated, citizens say. They say there is nothing more to give up, because apart from food, they have given up almost everything in the past year.
