iftar TzInternational Solidarity Forum – EMMAUS provided more than 25,000 iftars for Syrians, victims of war, during this year’s Ramadan.

Funds were collected from good people from all over BiH, and EMMAUS launched similar projects even before the month of Ramadan when they sent humanitarian aid to the war affected Syria.

The delivery of humanitarian aid was implemented in cooperation with the humanitarian organization IHH from Turkey. The aid was provided to the areas of Al Baba, Jarabulus, Mare and Azeza.

By the end of the month of Ramadan, a total of 25,388 iftars for Syrians will be provided from the funds collected in BiH.

Assistant Director of the ISF – EMMAUS Elmedin Skrebo also noted that they collected considerable aid in the flour, oil, and diapers, which were delivered to the Syrians in the early years.

“We want to be there for the people of Syria. We are providing aid in cooperation with the humanitarian organization IHH. We will continue to help these people in the future as well,” said Skrebo.

He announced that EMMAUS is planning to send new humanitarian convoys for Eid al-Adha. He recalled that the people of BiH were in a similar situation during the war in 1992-1995. He also expressed solidarity and hope that the war in Syria will be ended as soon as possible.
