Citizens Of Dreznica: Stop The Construction Of The Solar Power Plant On Mount Prenj

The citizens of Dreznica supported the protest walk that was organized yesterday from the Office of the Attorney General of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) to the Office of the High Representative (OHR) by the Alliance for Lawful and Transparent Management of Property in BiH, which gathers numerous civil society organizations and informal groups of citizens from all parts of the country.

The citizens of Dreznica supported the protest walk and thus expressed their dissatisfaction over the construction of a solar power plant planned in Jasenjani, on Mount Prenj, which is supposed to be declared a national park.

As stated by the organizers, the reason for the gathering is the increasingly frequent and serious violations of the Decision on the Prohibition of Disposal of State Property, which was previously issued by the High Representative and which, they remind, is still in force.

“We will address the Office of the Attorney General of BiH and the OHR with clear demands, seeking urgent and concrete measures to protect the state property that belongs to all citizens of BiH,“ the Alliance previously announced.

The peaceful walk, as they emphasized, aims to draw the attention of the public and the relevant institutions to the urgency of resolving this issue, which directly touches on the rule of law and the integrity of state institutions, Federalna writes.
