
The Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina give full support to regional cooperation, all with the goal of joint fight against complex threats, and overall improvement of the security situation in the region, Europe, but also globally, said today in Split the Chief of the Joint Staff of the Armed Forces of BiH General Senad Masovic.
In his address at the conference of the American-Adriatic Charter / A5 /, Masovic pointed out the exceptional importance of this initiative for BiH and its armed forces, the Ministry of Defense of BiH announced.
He emphasized that today’s security challenges are a modern threat of a global, not a local character, and that they do not recognize the time or distance at which they will manifest themselves in the worst edition and endanger security, which can be disastrous for the affected economy.
During their stay at this conference, the delegation of the Armed Forces talked with the Deputy Supreme Commander of the Allied Forces for Europe, General Michael Howard, the Commander of the Maryland National Guard, as well as the delegation of the Croatian Armed Forces.
Representatives of the US Army expressed full support for the BiH Armed Forces, with a strong willingness to expand cooperation through additional forms of joint activities.
In addition to this conference, a conference in the format of the Chiefs of Staff was also held in the format of the Chief Sergeants of the Armed Forces of the member states, in which the Chief Sergeant Mario Bagaric participated as the representative of BiH.
The delegation of the Armed Forces of BiH also included Colonel Asmir Sarajlić, and Majors Edin Ahmetović and Dragan Raljić.
The US-Adriatic Charter is a regional security and defense initiative formed in 2003 by Albania, Croatia, Northern Macedonia and the United States with the aim of supporting members in joining Euro-Atlantic integration. Montenegro and BiH subsequently joined the initiative, while Serbia, Slovenia and Kosovo participate in the meetings as observers.
