Today, Tuzla will be the place of breaking two Guinness records. A big feast starts on the Square of Liberty at 11 AM, at which will be prepared the largest meat pie (burek) and the largest portion of cevapi (kebab).
The organizers of the event, which will be called “Tuzla Gastro Show” are expecting about 10,000 people and the entire program is dedicated to the promotion of domestic products.
“The size of the burek pie will be 6×6 meters and it should weigh somewhere around 650 kilograms. We will also have 1,500 cevapi in a flatbread. Recordings and measurements from this manifestations will be sent to the headquarters of the Guinness World Record and we expect them to be confirmed. We have decided for these two representative BH products because we want to draw the attention of the world public in this way and clearly state that they are our authentic products,” said Omer Isovic from Kreativa Marketing, the organizer of “Tuzla Gastro Show”.
It is interesting that the biggest burek in the world will be shared among emergency services, doctors, firefighters and police officers, and the honor to cut it will be given to the coach Ciro Blazevic, the Prime Minister of Canton Tuzla Bego Gutic and the Mayor of Tuzla Jasmin Imamovic.
Within the manifestation will be presented the “Golden Dragon’s Heart” award, which will be awarded to Edin Dzeko, Zvjezdan Misimovic, and Vedad Ibisevic.
“We will also have a rich cultural and artistic program. The orchestra of about 50 accordions will play two sevdalinka songs. There will be about 1,000 members of cultural-artistic associations with us as well,” noted Isovic.
The award for humanism and patriotism will be given to actor Enis Beslagic, assistant director of HIFA Petrol Ahmed Ahmetlic, as well as the association of fans “Zmajevi Posavine”, which is known for their numerous humanitarian actions.
The award for the outstanding contribution to the strengthening of the economy of BiH will be presented to Rusmir Hrvic, the President of AS Group and Fahrudin Salihovic, the Director of Tuzla Brewery.
