[wzslider autoplay=”true”] When it comes to retro-futuristic art, it will be difficult to achieve works of Rick Guidice and Don Davis, who were assigned in 1975 to illustrate the potential space colonies for NASA.
With the help of Professor from Princeton, Gerard O’Neill, and work with a number of architects, researchers and engineers, they have created a possible colonies that they presented to NASA.
They called them: the Bernal Sphere, the Toroidal Colony and the Cylindrical Colony.
Each of them uses a cylindrical power to generate artificial gravity, which is reflected in the circular designs and solar voltages that are producing energy for their rotation.
Inside are imagined landscapes that create a comfortable life in modern homes, reports CNN.
Their illustrations are so fascinating that, even 40 years later, they intrigue and inspire. Even Cooper Station satellite, which we could watch in the movie Interstellar, was shown as a version of Cylindrical Colony.
