13479535_1210450239005930_1510832514_nThe Congress Center Sarajevo, whose project was presented in March this year, got the first interested investor. If the process of solving property and legal issues does not take much time, the beginning of works can be expected already in 2017.

According to the Municipality of Novi Grad, the project worth 300.000.000 BAM already has some interested foreign investors who are, allegedly, ready to enter the business when “all necessary preconditions are created”.

“One investor from Kuwait is interested. It is a company that has already implemented several projects in Bosnia and Herzegovina and that is ready to build the entire Center in cooperation with the Municipality of Novi Grad Sarajevo, because one part of the amenities of public character will be financed by the Municipality,” the Municipality stated.

The municipal part of works refers to roads and the landscaping of the riverbed of the Miljacka River.

At this moment, the Municipality cannot give exact prognoses of how long the works might take, but it is estimated that the works will last for at least two years.

Congress Center Sarajevo is to be built in the vicinity of the Municipality of Novi Grad, next to the building of the Radio Television of BiH, on the surface of 5.77 hectares. The architecture-urbanistic zone covers 3.47 hectares and roads and public areas cover 2.3 hectares.

The facility would contain several halls for the organization of central cultural and business events in BiH such as concerts, plays, film screenings and congresses. The complex would also include a hotel, shopping center, garages, business amenities, and residential space.
