FBiH Government allocates 15 million BAM in Subsidies to Public Companies

The Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, at a telephone session today, at the proposal of the Federal Ministry of Transport and Communications, adopted decisions on the adoption of four programs related to subsidies to public enterprises established by the Budget of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina for 2026 in the total amount of 14,945,282.67 KM, the Government’s Public Relations Office announced.

The first Decision adopts the Program for the Expenditure of Funds within the framework of current transfers “Subsidies to Public Enterprises for the Improvement of Air Traffic” within the framework of the Program “Normative, Administrative and Strategic Management in the Field of Transport and Electronic Communications and Post” in the amount of 10,000,000 KM.

Of these funds, the amount of 3,850,000 KM is allocated to JP Međunarodni aerodrom Sarajevo d.o.o. Sarajevo, 3,100,000 KM to JP Međunarodni aerodrom Tuzla d.o.o. Tuzla, and 3,050,000 KM to JP Međunarodni aerodrom Mostar d.o.o. Mostar. These funds will be used to subsidize existing and open new airlines. The purpose of allocating funds is to encourage the development of new and existing airlines, increase accessibility and transport connectivity of the Federation of BiH, and strengthen the competitiveness and sustainability of airports.

Also, the Decision adopted the Program – Normative, Administrative and Strategic Management in the Field of Transport and Electronic Communications and Post “Subsidies to Public Enterprises – Universal Postal Service” in the amount of 3,000,000 KM.

Of these funds, the amount of 1,802,100 KM is allocated to JP BH Pošta d.o.o. Sarajevo, and the amount of 1,197,900 KM to Hrvatska pošta d.o.o. Mostar. These funds will be used to subsidize the universal postal service. The purpose of allocating funds is to encourage the development of public postal operators with the aim of ensuring the availability, continuity, quality and affordable prices of the universal postal service for all users.

Today, the Program for the expenditure of part of the funds of the Current Transfer “Subsidies to Public Enterprises” within the Program “Normative, Administrative and Strategic Management in the Field of Transport and Electronic Communications and Post” in the amount of 145,282.67 KM was adopted.

These funds are allocated to JP “B&H Airlines” d.o.o. Sarajevo – in bankruptcy and will be spent for the linking of service, i.e. the settlement of taxes and contributions on paid salaries and the necessary fees to the accounting agency for the calculation and payment of the necessary contributions for four former employees of this public enterprise in order to exercise the right to a pension.

One of today’s decisions also adopted the Program for the expenditure of part of the funds of the Current Transfer “Subsidies to Public Enterprises” within the Program “Normative, Administrative and Strategic Management in the Field of Transport and Electronic Communications and Post” in the amount of 1,800,000 KM, which is allocated to JP International Airport-Airport Mostar d.o.o. Mostar and will be used to partially co-finance the costs of renting firefighting aircraft.
