The B&H furniture industry MS&WOOD, in the first quarter of this year, increased their value of exports by 40 times (4 000%), in comparison with the same period last year.
From the company they stress the fact that they represent one of the examples of successful privatization in Bosnia-Herzegovina. Moreover, they say that one industry with the uncertain outcome due to the changes on the domestic and global markets, was changed with the industrial furniture production, by which Bosnia-Herzegovina is famous as one of the most competitive in the world.
MS&WOOD produced nails, and now they are producing chairs and are hiring more people than on the day of privatization, and with the export agreement of 13 million BAM for 2014, made in advance.
They claim that they will increase the production of furniture 10 times more than they did in 2013, with which the additional 100 workers can be hired. In this year, the contracted businesses for more than 300 000 chairs, tables and other furniture was made. All the previously mentioned products will be placed on the foreign markets.
In the project on the installing of technology for the wood processing and furniture production in Fojnica, 5 million BAM was invested. In addition, this investment was made in a contemporary and ecologically clean factory, was noted from MS&WOOD company.
