Computerization of Health System Tuzla Continues

klinicki_centarThe fifth phase of the project of strengthening the health sector, reconstruction and equipping of seven family medicine clinics in municipalities Tuzla, Čelić, Kalesija and Sapna, as well as the computerization of primary care and the establishment of a monitoring and evaluation system, were discussed during the meeting of the representative of the Ministry of Health of Tuzla Canton and the FB&H Ministry of Health with the directors of health centers in this canton, directors of the Health Insurance Institute and Department of Public Health, and B&H Telecom representatives also attended.

Kemal Kačapor, consultant for information technology in the FB&H Ministry, spoke of the importance of computerization of the health system. ‘’The FB&H Ministry of Health visited all primary care health institutions in the FB&H, and for the Tuzla Health Center, as a pilot project, has already acquired the necessary IT equipment. In the second phase of the project of IT equipment, all other health centers in Tuzla canton will receive all that is necessary for computerization and networking’’, said Kačapor.

BH Telecom is a partner and will invest a part of the funds in the implementation of the project, and it was decided that these funds would be invested in the area of our canton.
