Today, citizen os Sarajevo will have the opportunity to enjoy the music of American singer Bob Ryan of the duo Bob Ryan & Terry Hann. His concert will be held in City Pub Sarajevo and it will start at 9.30 p.m.
Bob Ryan’s music is a blend of “Roots” styles – Country, folk, blues and rock. Singer-songwriter Bob Ryan provides the majority of the group’s (Bob Ryan & Terry Hann) material while muti-instrumentalist Terry Hann enriches the sound with guitar, banjo, mandolin and harmonica. Both are veteran musicians who have been featured on the Arizona Music Café radio show and have performed in venues across the valley.
With songs that are strongly melodic, poetic and heartfelt, the two are known for performances that are both humorous and passionate. Lyrically, their songs describe the human yearning for peace and permanence in a world where both are hard to find and harder to hold – stories that play out in quintessentially American scenes of roadside taverns and cafes, small towns and great cities and endless stretches of lonely desert highway.
Bob has released two CDs of material since 2004, both of which are available on iTunes. His 2007 CD “The Spirit of Andy Devine” was the subject of an hour-long radio show on the internet station Radio Free Phoenix, and has been favorably reviewed both locally and in Europe.
The two are currently working on their first album as a duo, planned for release early in 2013.
