It is expected that the harmonization of the coordination mechanism will be finalized at the meeting which is to be held next week.

This was confirmed by the Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina Denis Zvizdić after a meeting with entity prime ministers Fadil Novalić and Željka Cvijanović in Sarajevo.

Zvizdić assessed the meeting as constructive, with the simulation of the activity of the coordination mechanism in order to see whether there will be a halt in any part of the process. Such halts, Zvizdić said, have been removed in the text analyzed so far.

“One or two issues are left to be solved,” said the federal Prime Minister Fadil Novalić.

The meeting was attended by the state and entity ministers of finance Vjekoslav Bevanda, Jelka Milićević and Zoran Tegeltija, and the Head and Deputy Head of the EU Delegation in BiH Lars-Gunnar Wigemark and Renzo Daviddi.

In the process of accession to the EU, BiH is obliged to improve the coordination mechanicm between institutions and authority in order to form a unified administrative capacity for participation in the EU.

The Council of EU called for the harmonization of the coordination mechanism, requesting from the policies in BiH to mutually coordinate and implement, i.e. to act in one voice.
