Congresswoman Grace Meng joined the Group for Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) in the U.S. Congress, the Advisory Council for BiH (ACBiH) announced.

Meng is a representative of the 6th New York District in Congress. She is a member of several influential committees in the U.S. Senate, including foreign affairs, trade, justice and science subcommittees. Meng is the vice-president of the Democratic National Committee (DNC) and the first Asian-American representative from New York in Congress.

“The Advisory Council for BiH is honored to announce information about membership of Congresswoman Meng in the Group for BiH. Her support to a unique, democratic and multiethnic BiH is welcomed. I hope we will have a good cooperation with her and her associates, in the interest of the Bosnian-American community, “ said Nedim Music, vice-president of ACBH.

For years, the Group for BiH in Congress, with presidency of BiH friends, congressmen – Chris Smith and congresswoman – Eddie Bernice Johnson, has been supporting the necessary reforms in BiH and worked to strengthen the U.S. role in the region.
