This part of construction includes two highway sections in total value of approximately 200 million BAM.

Sections included in this project are Počitelj-Zvirovići, loop Počitelj-Bridge Počitelj, whose value is 45.6 million EUR, and the section Počitelj-Zvirovići, which will cost 46.9 million EUR. Deadline for completion of both sections is 30 months.

The Bosnian-Croatian consortium “Hering” and “Viadukt” gave the most favorable offer for execution of works on this section in the total length of 11.2 kilometers, based on international tender. After the process of evaluation, which is allegedly already completed, the FBiH Government should officially select the contractor.

However, some prominent companies from Turkey, Italy, Greece and Austria also bid for this section, but the offer by “Hering” and “Viadukt” was assessed the most favorable one, all summed up.

According to sources, the entire process of granting the contract will be completed in no later than two months and the contractor will join the project already in June. By that time, the new administration of the Public Enterprise „Motorways of FBiH“ should also be appointed, and that administration will complete this entire operation.

„Expropriation is in the final stage and the FBiH Government needs to reach a decision on temporary possession now. The works should begin in July, because the entry into possession takes that much time. We hope there will be no delays, because everything is set,“ said the source.

Construction of this section of the Corridor 5C creates conditions for continuation of construction of the highway from the south of the country towards the interior, as well as for connecting the highway with the main road M17.

Počitelj Bridge is the longest bridge on the Corridor 5C, whose construction foresees connection of two banks of the Neretva River. It is one of the most complex bridges on the Corridor, with span construction between the columns amounting to 147 meters. The bridge will go over the main road M17 and local roads and railway.

Numbers:

Length of bridge: 945 meters

Height: 100 meters

Span construction between the columns: 147 meters

Length of the section Počitelj-Zvirovići: 11.2 kilometers
