Members of the Association of Scouts from Zenica today introduced their guests from Zenica-Doboj Canton, the city of Zenica and the company ArcelorMittal with the living conditions and activities of the implementation of the project “Nature as a medicine”, as well as issues related to the organization of massive stay of children from Zenica in nature.
“Eco-house Smetovi” should be an educational demonstrative school center that will provide youth with all the conditions for their activities.
It should be completely constructed from environmentally friendly materials, with installed alternative ways of energy use, mini weather station for measuring of atmospheric pressure, wind speed, thermometers and measuring devices for aero pollution, all suitable for the children under 16 years old.
According to the project “Eco-house Smetovi,” capacities for a minimum of 50 children will be constructed, including multi-bedded rooms with four to eight beds, educational cabinet, a botanical garden with plants characteristic for this area, educational trail, feeders and birdhouses, 100 meters long “baby ski lift ” and many other mini facilities, which will complete the recreational activities for children and youth.
