Construction of Pool in Dobrinja to begin soon?

poolMain project of the Sports-Recreational Centre Dobrinja is completed and the solution for the problem with the Institute for Construction of the Sarajevo Canton is expected soon, thus opening the door to the beginning of the long-awaited construction.

If the issue with the construction permit is not solved soon, the Municipality will reach a decision on expropriation of the needed land for the needs of the construction of the Sports-Recreational Centre, given that the public interest for its construction has already been determined.

“In the first stage of the project implementation, we will be working on relocation of certain sewerage installations on the locality, and currently in progress is the making of the project paperwork for their relocation by the Cantonal Public Utility Enterprise ‘Water and Sewerage’,” confirmed the Municipality, highlighting that a public tender for the selection of contractor for the construction of the first stage of the Sports-Recreational Centre Dobrinja will be published soon.

According to the Municipality of Novi Grad, it is realistic to expect the beginning of works in the next two to three months after the completion of the procedure of selection of the contractor.

Regarding the citizens’ reactions, the investor is mostly asked when the construction will finally begin.

“Citizens are mostly looking forward to the construction of one such facility, given that Dobrinja has the most residence projects, so other amenities such as sports-recreational are necessary. During the summer months, the facility should be used as an outdoor pool, and during winter it could serve as a skating rink. For the rest of the year, it could serve as a sports court,” the Municipality concluded.

The project also foresees other hospitality, sports and recreational amenities.
