Construction of ‘Railways of Peace, Tourism and Ecology’ planned through five BH Municipalities

meeting Balkan Peace ClubYesterday in Zavidovici was held a presentation of the “first railway of peace, tourism, and ecology” and organizer of the meeting was the Balkan Club of Peace in BiH.

It is the construction of a railway between Zavidovici and Rogatica (Podzid – Ribioc – Slap), and it would pass through the municipality of Zavidovici, Vares, Olovo, Sokolac and Han Pijesak in order to develop tourism.

“Our project includes the arrangement of the existing railway, which passes through beautiful natural landscapes of the municipality of Zavidovici, Olovo, Vares, Han Pijesak, Sokolac, and Rogatica. We are planning to build mountain lodges, hunting lodges and hotels for tourists to visit the municipality. The setting of the foundation stone is planned from the 9th of May and the start of construction work on the 21st of September 2017 “, said the representatives of “Balkan Peace Club”.

The presentation was attended by representatives and mayors of municipalities Zavidovici, Olovo, Vares, Han Pijesak, Sokolac, and Rogatica.

Balkan Peace Club is an international organization founded in 2004 in Skopje, where its headquarters was placed until recently, and it has 12 member countries, while the headquarters of the organization is in Sarajevo since last year.
