Consumer Prices in BiH Increased in November

Consumer prices in Bosnia and Herzegovina increased by 0.2 percent on average in November compared to the previous month of this year.

In November compared to October of this year, food and non-alcoholic beverages are on average more expensive by 0.7 percent, furniture and household appliances by 1.3 percent, healthcare by 0.3 percent, transportation by 0.2 percent, communications, recreation and culture, education, restaurants and hotels by 0.1 percent each, and other goods and services by 0.6 percent, according to data from the BiH Statistics Agency.

Alcoholic beverages and tobacco were on average cheaper by 0.2 percent, clothing and footwear by 0.4 percent and housing and overhead expenses by 1.3 percent.

On the annual level, an average increase in the price level of 16.3 percent was recorded.

Food and non-alcoholic beverages increased by 24.5 percent on average in November this year compared to November last year, alcoholic beverages and tobacco by 2.5 percent, housing and utilities by 19.1 percent, furniture, household appliances and regular house maintenance by 12.2 percent, healthcare by 2.2 percent, transportation by 23.8 percent, communications by 1.5 percent, recreation and culture by 11.5 percent, education by 2.4 percent, restaurants and hotels by 11 percent, and other goods and services by 8.1 percent.

The average price drop was recorded in the clothing and footwear section by 7.1 percent.
