Consumer Prices in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina recorded Decrease

Consumer prices in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina in May this year were on average 0.8 percent lower than in the previous month.

Observed by sections of the Classification of Personal Consumption by Purpose, prices increased in the sections clothing and footwear by 2.2 percent and Education by 0.1 percent.

Prices were lower in the sections of transportation by 4.1 percent, housing, water, electricity, gas and other energy sources by 1.4 percent, furniture, household appliances and regular housekeeping by 1.1 percent, food and non-alcoholic beverages by 0 percent, 4 and Health by 0.2 percent.

In other sections, prices did not change on average in that month, according to the Federal Bureau of Statistics.

 In May 2020, compared to May 2019, prices were lower by 2.1 percent (annual deflation).
