Member of the BiH Presidency Željko Komšić spoke in Sarajevo today with the Ambassador of Turkey Ahmet Yildiz on European integration of BIH, as well as the necessary actions to restart the process.

They agreed on the necessity of continuing trilateral meetings of BiH, Turkey and Serbia with the goal of improving regional cooperation.

Ambassador Yildiz informed Komšić of the vision of the situation in BiH from the perspective of Turkey, as well as the activities of the Peace Implementation Council in BiH.

Komšić reiterated that changes to the Constitution of BiH have to be made in accordance with the principles set out in the “Sejdić-Finci” ruling, and which includes basic things, that people are equal and that any further complications that involve discriminating people will lead to a new “Sejdić-Finci” situation.

Regarding the perspective immovable military property, Komšić said that he thinks that the agreement reached last year has to be realized, with the goal of BiH’s progress towards Euro Atlantic integration, and that the decision on state property has to respect the decision of the BiH Constitutional Court.
