Mahmod Dawlatabadi 1One of the most famous Iranian writers, Mahmoud Dawlatabadi is these days in Sarajevo, where he took part in the sixth convention of the Association Persians Societies (ASPS).

On Tuesday, 3rd September at the 19 pm, at the Bosnian Cultural Center will be dedicated an evening of conversation with him, accompanied by Iranian pianist Ariana Berkeshli.

Dawlatabadi (1940) wrote about the resistance of Iranians towards former Shah’s regime, during which he spent two years in prison, but in Iran he became very popular for his novel “Kelidar”, in which he describes the life of a family from village of Horasan in 3.000 pages and in 10 volumes.

The novel “Colonel” made him famous in western Countries and his latest work “Besmal” will appear at the end of 2013 at the same time in the U.S. and UK.
