Convoy of Humanitarian Aid for Rogatica departed from Sarajevo

On behalf of the Soup Kitchen “Stari Grad”, from the money that Agan Hodzic left to users of the soup kitchen and the socially vulnerable population of BiH, the convoy with a donation departed towards Hodzic’s native village, as well as the surrounding villages in the Municipality of Rogatica.

“This is the first action after the distribution of the money that Agan Hodzic left to users of the soup kitchen. I could not do it all by myself. The Municipality of Centar, Merhamet and the Red Cross of CS helped me in realizing this action. We prepared a total of 300 packages, but since we could not do load all of them, we are sending 250 packages this time. The remaining 50 packages will be delivered later on,” said Aunt Zilha.

Packages include flour, oil, salt, rice, beans, pasta, sugar, cans, coffee and other groceries, and besides the village of Kovanje, they will be also distributed in Rogatica, Kukavice, Sljedovici, Lubardjici, Kosutica, Kramer Village, Vragolovi, Batovo, Djedovici, Setici, Zivaljevici, Rakitnica, Porodola, Novoseoci, Brda and Godimlje.

Enver Ahmetspahic, the nephew of Agan Hodzic, who manages this campaign, stated that he is proud because there are few people who are as good as his uncle was.

“There are only few people like that. There are many rich people who have money, but only rare are willing to give their money to those who really need it. I am proud that Agan recognized this. This is the first action, and we did not make the criteria or divided people on the basis of how much they have. Lives of the people are mostly hard now, and we will distribute these packages to all the people that we find in these villages,” said Ahmetspahic.
