The Council of Ministers of BiH adopted an Action Plan to Combat Terrorism

council-of-ministersThe Council of Ministers of BiH, at the proposal of the Ministry of Security, adopted an Action Plan for the implementation of the strategy of BiH for the prevention and fight against terrorism (2015-2020).

The plan is based on the idea of unified and coordinated approach to the implementation of the Strategy and strengthening the capacities of institutions at all levels in BiH for the prevention and fight against terrorism and terrorism-related challenges.

The Action Plan includes a table of actions in seven key areas: legislation; institutional capacity; continuing education and practical skills test; prevention; protection; investigation and response to terrorist incidents. The first three areas are considered as precondition for the implementation of all the activities in the prevention and fight against terrorism, while the aim is carrying out the activities of the four remaining field of harmonization of anti-terrorist measures with measures implemented by EU member states.

The Action Plan was agreed and approved by the competent institutions / agencies at all levels in BiH. For its implementation is responsible supervisory body of the Council of Ministers of BiH that will conduct regular monitoring of the progress of set goals and measures, as notified from the Information Service of the Council of Ministers of BiH.
