The Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) has confirmed an indictment against 10 individuals for war crimes against Serbian civilians and captured members of the Army of Republika Srpska (VRS).

The indictment has been confirmed against Enes Zukanovic, Fikret Prevljak, Emir Redzovic, Vahid Aladjuz, Rasim Okeric, Mustafa Gegaj, Mujo Vatres, Vahid Muharemovic, Mirsad Tuzlak, and Senahid Godinjak.

The accused are charged, among other things, with allowing and organizing the unlawful detention and abuse of Serbian civilians and VRS prisoners of war during the war in BiH and the armed conflict between the Army of the Republic of BiH (ARBiH) and the VRS from May 1992 to the end of October 1995 in the Ilidza municipality. These acts took place in the premises of the “Aleksa Santic” Elementary School, in garages, and in basement rooms of buildings, which were characterized as camps under the jurisdiction of the Ilidza Armed Forces Headquarters.

“The accused are further charged with, within the scope of their duties and functions, depriving members of Serbian nationality of basic human rights contrary to international law, by carrying out unlawful detentions, murders, rapes, inhumane treatment, inflicting injuries to physical integrity and health, forcing detainees into compulsory labor in combat zones where they were exposed to injuries and fatalities, and attacking civilian populations,” the Court of BiH stated in its announcement.
