The Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina confirmed the indictment in the case of Armin Đananović, charging the accused with the criminal offense of public incitement to terrorist activities.

Đananović is charged with, in the period from the end of April 2021 until June 2023 at the latest, in a state of insanity, through the means of public information, distributing and otherwise sending messages to the public through social networks and platforms whose aim was to encourage others to committing the crime of terrorism.

He did this, as stated, by repeatedly translating texts published in Arabic into Bosnian, publishing texts with photographs of the killing of captured soldiers, civilians and children, on the aforementioned website, in which he glorifies “Islam state” organized on the territory of Syria and Iraq and the terrorist group “Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL)”, which operates on the territory of Syria and Iraq.

The Security Council of the United Nations declared those two groups, on the basis of resolution R-1267 from 1999, as terrorist groups and organizations, which glorify the actions and killings committed by ISIL and the “state of the Caliphate”, in the territory of Syria and Iraq, and throughout Asia and Africa.

Đananović thereby made them available to the public of Bosnia and Herzegovina and beyond, with the aim of encouraging others in Bosnia and Herzegovina and beyond to commit terrorist activities and to commit the criminal offense of terrorism from Article 201, paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code of BiH, announced the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH.
