At the proposal of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Court of BiH issued an order for the detention of the President of the Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Srpska Radovan Višković and the President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska Nenad Stevandić because they are suspected of attacking the constitutional order of BiH.

The Court of BiH stated to N1 that a decision was made to order a one-month detention for Dodik, Višković and Stevandić after their detention, but they did not provide us with any further details.

However, N1 has learned that in practice this actually means that they will end up in detention after their interrogation.

This order was issued after the suspects did not respond to the summons of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH for interrogations.

As has been explained to N1 on several occasions, from a legal and security perspective, if they do not respond to the interrogations, an order for forced detention may be issued, and if they refuse to do so, there is a possibility of issuing an internal and Interpol arrest warrant.

Let us recall that these activities of the judicial institutions of BiH followed the adoption of laws in the National Assembly of the Republic of Srpska that undermine the constitutional order of the state, including attempts to limit the jurisdiction of state institutions on the territory of the BiH entity of the Republic of Srpska.

Also, the day before yesterday, the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH issued an arrest warrant for Dodik, Višković and Stevandić on suspicion of attacking the constitutional order of BiH, after they failed to respond to the interrogation.

When issuing the aforementioned warrant, the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH also sent a request to SIPA to participate in the aforementioned action, and today the German Der Standard announced that diplomatic sources confirmed to them that EUFOR is also ready to provide support if a request is sent to them.
