The case Prosecutor from the Special Department for Organised Crime, Economic Crime and Corruption – Section for Terrorism has submitted to the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina a motion for extension of custody for Milarem Berbic born in 1954 in Zenica.

The measure of custody was moved for the reasons described in Article 132 (1) (a), (c) and (d) of the CPC of BiH, namely because of the risk of flight, because of the risk that, if at large, he might repeat the criminal offense or complete the attempted one, as he is the person who spent a longer period of time in the territory of Syria, as well as because of extraordinary circumstances of committing the criminal offense, where the release of the suspect would cause anxiety to the public and citizens.

In the case against the suspect Barbic, who is charged with the criminal offense of Illegal Establishment and Joining Foreign Paramilitary or Para police Formations referred to in Article 162b of the Criminal Code of BiH, the Prosecutor’s Office is taking activities relating to requests for mutual legal assistance for the purpose of collecting evidence in the case.

The motion for extension of custody was sent to the Court of BiH and it was granted.
