President of the Croat Democratic Union (HDZ) Dragan Čović claims that Lidija Bradara will be appointed as the President of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina at the session of the House of Representatives of the FBiH Parliament, which is scheduled for Tuesday, February 28.
“From that moment on, further activities regarding the formation of the executive power in the Federation of FBiH will proceed. It seems to me that we have wasted time and it is high time that we finish it from next week,” said Čović in Žepče after a meeting with the members of the HDZ cantonal committee of the Zenica-Doboj Canton.
Čović did not want to comment on the move of the candidate for president and vice president of the FBiH, Refik Lendo (SDA), who did not appear at the meeting regarding the agreement on who will be the president of FBiH.
Since they did not agree, Čović says that in situations like this, there are institutions of the Federation of BiH, and the House of Representatives now has the opportunity to appoint the holders of executive power. He also expressed his belief that this will happen on Tuesday.
Commenting on the decision of two HDZ ministers, Zlatko Jelić and Tanja Radoš-Kosić, to leave yesterday’s session of the Government of the Zenica-Doboj Canton, Čović said that HDZ stands together on every idea.
“We managed to have our two ministers and I am convinced that our representatives will protect our interests. That’s how we performed with partners at higher levels and attempts to divide are in vain,” Čović concluded.
