The Speaker of the House of Peoples of the Parliament of BiH, Dragan Čović, and a member of the House of Representatives of the Parliament of BiH, Darijana Filipović, held a working meeting in Zagreb with the Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Republic of Croatia, Gordan Grlić Radman.
The meeting, as announced, discussed bilateral relations, the European path of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the protection of the rights and interests of the Croatian people in BiH.
Čović emphasized the key role of European integration in the development of BiH, emphasizing the need for urgent intensification of reform processes.
He also pointed out the importance of ensuring full equality of the Croatian people in BiH and consistent respect for constitutional principles and strategic issues for Croats in BiH.
Minister Grlić Radman reaffirmed the strong support of the Republic of Croatia for the European perspective of Bosnia and Herzegovina, emphasizing that Croatia remains a strong advocate for the rights of Croats in BiH at the European and global levels.
Representative Filipović emphasized the need for accelerated reform steps on BiH’s path towards the European Union, emphasizing the full commitment of Croatian officials to the Euro-Atlantic path, as well as the importance of cooperation with the bodies of the Republic of Croatia on this and all strategic issues.
Čović expressed his gratitude to the Government of the Republic of Croatia for its long-standing support, especially highlighting projects that contribute to better connectivity and the development of opportunities in BiH on a daily basis.
He emphasized that these projects, in addition to strengthening the position of Croats in BiH, also bring benefits and progress to all residents of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Also, he expressed his belief that such support will continue to be the basis for further strengthening mutual cooperation and achieving common goals in the future.
