Covic met with the President of China, Xi Jinping

Covic and Xi Jinpeng avaz.baThe Chairman of the Presidency of B&H Dragan Covic met with the President of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping in Beijing.

Covic thanked the President Jinping for the invitation to participate in marking this significant anniversary, and expressed satisfaction with the upward trajectory of the political relations of B&H and China, as well as with the fact that there are no open issues between the two countries. The relations of the PR China and B&H are an example of true friendly relations and extraordinary cooperation in all areas of joint action, which is constantly being improved.

Covic also stressed the importance of the interest of the PR China for cooperation within the initiative “One belt – one way”, as an important foundation for the further development of economic and other relations between B&H and the PR China. Covic also pointed out the support for the further advancement of joint infrastructure and energy projects, as well as the increase of China’s direct investment in the economy of B&H.

The President Xi Jinping thanked Covic for participating in this significant anniversary, and expressed commitment to the further development and improvement of mutual relations. He pointed out that a number of agreements signed in various fields provide a favorable foundation for the deepening of cooperation, and the Chinese side will continue to give impetus to the Chinese investors to invest in B&H.

Covic expressed his gratitude for the support and friendly words, and invited the President of the People’s Republic of China to visit B&H anytime soon, what the President Jinping accepted.
