The chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) Dragan Covic spoke in Belgrade today with Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, where he once again emphasized that the relations of these two countries are the key to peace and stability in the Western Balkans.

The Serbian President hosted a working dinner for the Covic, who is on a working visit to Belgrade.

Vucic said that BiH is one of Serbia’s most important foreign policy partners.

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said today that the relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Serbia are the key to preserving peace and stability in the Western Balkans and the key to a different and better future for citizens of both countries.

After talks with Cović in Belgrade, Vucic said that BiH is Serbia’s most important foreign trade partner and that it is expected that by the end of the year trade will amount to 1.6 billion Euros.

The idea of holding a trilateral meeting at any level between BiH, Serbia and Croatia was also confirmed.

Vucic said that the meeting also discussed the establishment of a final border between the two countries, reminding that 373 kilometers have already been resolved.

According to his estimates, the area around the hydroelectric power plants Zvornik and Bajina Basta has remained unchanged, that is, it is disputed about 17 hectares near the HPP Zvornik and five hectares near HPP Bajina Basta that are the problem.

Vucic said that at the meeting, he said that Serbia does not easily view the judgment of the Court of BiH to release Naser Oric for war crimes, since in Serbia there are, as he said, living people who were present at the commission of the crimes.

Vucic said that today Serbia has paid 500,000 Euros for the construction of a church in Mostar.

“It is important for the survival of the Serbian people, but also for the reconstruction of Serbian sanctuaries,” Vucic said and thanked Covic for suggesting that the church be restored.
