Cases of endangering the right to freedom of religion in the Kravice waterfall complex and the recent incident of disrupting prayer in a public space in Široki Brijeg, which caused various media comments, obliges the Interreligious Council in Bosnia and Herzegovina (MRVBiH) to react – the Council announced.

MRVBiH condemns all forms of prohibition of religious rites and the right to freely express one’s religion.

– Let’s be people of faith, let’s respect the other and the different, let’s prove that we don’t mind a neighbor, a neighbor or a guest of our homeland who prays and addresses God in his own way, let’s be sincere believers and with our faith witness diversity and the richness of life in diversity – said the MRV BiH.

They remind that the authorities have an obligation to provide all believers with the rights and obligations arising from the Law on Freedom of Religion and the Legal Status of Churches and Religious Communities in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

– At the same time, individual or collective prayer must not be an instrument of polarization or provocation in society, because it is contrary to the spirit of prayer itself – they point out from MRV.
