The focus of the visit of the Secretary General of NATO Jens Stoltenberg to BiH in early February will be a partnership between BiH and that military alliance, the fight against terrorism, a joint operation that the Armed Forces of BiH are participating with NATO and the preservation of peace and stability in the region,” said Minister of Foreign Affairs, Igor Crnadak.
“It is a very important event and an excellent opportunity to discuss the further development of relations between BiH and this military alliance,” stated Crnadak, adding that this is the first visit of the Secretary General of NATO to BiH after almost three years.
He noted that the visit was agreed a few months ago and it has nothing to do with the events from the 9th of January in Banja Luka.
“Those who have made statements that the Secretary General of NATO is coming to BiH to punish someone for the 9th of January are not well-intentioned towards the processes in BiH,” said Crnadak.
Head of BH diplomacy is confident that during talks with Stoltenberg will be confirmed support of NATO to EU integration process of BiH and the Dayton Peace Agreement as the basis of today’s BiH.
