Croatian President: There is no Danger of the War Outbreak in BiH

“There are no weapons in Bosnia and Herzegovina. To whom it should be explained, to those who scare us with the outbreak of war conflict and riots. To the international community from Sarajevo, the Unitarians. A war will break out in BiH. With what? That danger does not exist,” Milanović told reporters in Široki Brijeg.

He pointed out that Croatia, as a member of the EU and NATO, must care for the state of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the equality of Croats, reports Hina news agency.

“Zagreb’s responsibility for what is happening in Bosnia and Herzegovina is to preserve it, to ensure that the order does not collapse and that every nation has equal rights,” added the Croatian president.

He expressed the expectation that High Representative Christian Schmidt “will prevent the continuation of the Croat overvoting in order not to repeat the election of the Croatian member of the BiH Presidency, Željko Komšić, who was elected by the Bosniaks on four occasions”.

On this occasion, Milanović also commented on the indictment against the President of Republika Srpska Milorad Dodik and said that he “does not believe in the justice of high representatives”.

“As long as the high representatives, whoever gave them the mandate, as long as they have the instinct and interest to change the laws of the country with decrees, in order to bring an indictment for a newly invented crime, and they do not have the time and interest to change the electoral law, which they can do with one signature of a pen and enable Croats to elect representatives, as long as that pencil is as heavy as a feather and the other as light as a quill, I don’t believe in such justice,” Milanović told reporters in Široki Brijeg.

He pointed out that he has a sincere desire to make a maximum contribution, and that he believes that the Government of Croatia is also doing the same, that Bosnia and Herzegovina will be an orderly country where Croats will live as a constituent nation.

Milanović arrived in Široki Brijeg, where he presented the Order of the Croatian Trefoil to the First Volunteer Unit – Poskok Battalion of the HVO in Široki Brijeg, for the special merits of its members in the past war.

After that, the Croatian president laid a wreath and lit a candle at the memorial cross.

The assembled citizens greeted the Croatian president with applause, who stayed briefly in the main city square and paid tribute to the victims.
