HDZ President 1990 Ilija Cvitanović said that the statements of BiH Presidency Chairman Željko Komšić are the best example of why Croats do not celebrate BiH Independence Day and why he is not and can never be a legitimate representative of Croats in BiH, because it shows that he does not understand relations in BiH at all and that he does not wish this country well at all.
Commenting on Komšić’s speech at the ceremony marking March 1, which is celebrated in the Federation of BiH as Independence Day, in which he called the ARBiH “the only legal and legitimate army in BiH”, Cvitanović said that the RBiH Army is the army of one nation and that Komšić strongly he knows well.
“I believe that, like a golden lily, the army of the Bosniak people is closest to his heart because he was part of it, but not to the people on whose behalf he receives his salary in the Presidency. The people he represents were killed by that army, which left behind hundreds of slaughterhouses of the Croatian people who never they have not been prosecuted,” stated Cvitanović.
He said that he is aware that Komšić, as the second Bosniak member of the BiH Presidency, would like to imaginatively portray the military successes of the ARBiH, but history is something completely different, it was published on the HDZ website in 1990.
“BiH is not what Komšić would like it to be. Komšić, of course, has the right to his own interpretation of historical events in BiH, but then he is lying to himself and all those he represents,” said Cvitanović and concluded that with such statements the people of BiH only further away, thus confirming that Bosnia and Herzegovina is not possible as a state.
