DacicAfter the meeting with the entity President Milorad Dodik, Dačić said that Serbia is developing relations with the other institutions of BiH, even though there are  already parallel and special relations with the RS.

Pointing out that Serbia has ‘special and the closest relations with the RS, which is understandable because the largest number of inhabitants living there belong to Serbian ethnicity ‘, Dačić said that is completely understandable that Serbia wants to build and develop these relation since it is defined even in the Dayton Peace Agreement.

He said that Serbia wants to have good relations even with other countries in the region because there are common interests and problems, and there is a need to articulate an attitude regarding the European Integration.

“Serbia wants to help”, said Dačić and added that it is unacceptable for Serbia that the Serbian people and for the RS to be put under pressure in terms of changes in the Dayton Agreement without their consent.

But, he said that Serbia does not want to get involved in the internal issues in BiH, and that it has a principle position that everything that is agreed on between the two entities and the three people is acceptable to them.

He said that Serbia did not change its basic position when it comes to the unilaterally declared independence of Kosovo and repeated that Serbia thinks that negotiations on this issue are ‘status neutral’.

On the other hand, he said that they have to take steps towards the normalization of relations, because it is impossible to remain in a ‘frozen situation for many years’.

Before a joint session of the RS and Serbian government, Dačić said that this is the continuation of cooperation and that in the second half of the year the session will take place in Serbia.
